This Senior Security Engineer position supports the full vulnerability management lifecycle, from identification to remediation tracking. You will operate scanning tools, analyze security findings, and translate complex risks into actionable steps for application and infrastructure teams.
What you'll do
- Support end-to-end vulnerability management from assessment to remediation
- Operate and maintain scanning capabilities using Tenable Security Center
- Analyze findings to determine risk and communicate priorities
- Develop detailed remediation guidance and compensating controls
- Coordinate remediation activities with application and infrastructure teams
- Create technical documentation for independent execution by partners
- Manage findings ingestion within Brinqa or similar platforms
- Align processes with compliance standards like PCI, HIPAA, and SOX
What you'll need
- 5+ years in cybersecurity with focus on vulnerability management
- Strong understanding of risk-based prioritization and remediation
- Experience with Tenable products, preferably Security Center
- Working knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems
- Strong written communication and documentation skills
- Ability to explain complex risk to technical stakeholders
- Organizational skills to coordinate across multiple teams
Nice to have
- Experience with Azure and GCP cloud environments
- Knowledge of PCI, HIPAA, or SOX compliance frameworks
- Scripting skills in Perl, Python, Ruby, or shell
- Familiarity with Brinqa or similar platforms
- Exposure to Operational Technology environments
