Join Air Apps as a Security Engineer to safeguard systems against cyber threats. You will collaborate with development and DevOps teams to implement secure coding practices and automate security testing within the software development lifecycle.
Based in the Lisbon office, you will design identity management policies, conduct penetration tests, and ensure compliance with standards like ISO 27001 and GDPR. The team values proactive risk mitigation and resilient system architecture.
What you'll do
- Develop threat models to identify risks across apps and infrastructure
- Conduct vulnerability scans, penetration tests, and security assessments
- Enforce secure coding practices alongside development teams
- Integrate security tools into CI/CD pipelines with DevOps
- Monitor incidents, perform root cause analysis, and prevent recurrence
- Ensure compliance with ISO 27001, GDPR, and SOC 2 standards
- Design IAM policies, encryption standards, and authentication methods
- Review security of features, APIs, and third-party integrations
What you'll need
- At least 4 years in cybersecurity or application security
- Strong grasp of OWASP Top 10 and threat modeling
- Experience with Nessus, Qualys, Burp Suite, or similar tools
- Hands-on work with SIEM, IDS, and monitoring solutions
- Proficiency in Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation
- Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud security
- Knowledge of encryption, network security, and API safety
- Experience integrating security into DevSecOps workflows
