Join Air Apps as a Security Engineer to safeguard systems against cyber threats. You will collaborate with development and DevOps teams to implement secure coding practices, conduct penetration testing, and ensure compliance with standards like ISO 27001 and GDPR.
Based in the Lisbon office, you will work in person to build resilient security frameworks and respond to incidents. The company supports relocation for candidates moving to Portugal.
What you'll do
- Develop threat models to identify risks across applications and infrastructure
- Conduct vulnerability scanning, penetration testing, and security assessments
- Define and enforce secure coding practices with development teams
- Integrate security into CI/CD pipelines and automate testing with DevOps
- Monitor security incidents and perform root cause analysis
- Ensure compliance with ISO 27001, GDPR, and SOC 2 standards
- Design IAM policies, encryption standards, and authentication mechanisms
- Review security of features, APIs, and third-party integrations
What you'll need
- At least 4 years of experience in cybersecurity or security engineering
- Strong knowledge of OWASP Top 10 and threat modeling techniques
- Experience with Nessus, Qualys, Burp Suite, or similar tools
- Hands-on experience with SIEM, IDS, and security monitoring tools
- Proficiency in Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation tasks
- Familiarity with cloud security in AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Knowledge of encryption protocols, network security, and API security
- Experience integrating security into DevSecOps workflows
