Join Air Apps as a Security Engineer to safeguard systems against cyber threats. You will collaborate with development and DevOps teams to implement secure coding practices, automate security testing, and manage incident response.
Based in the Lisbon office, you will help build a resilient security lifecycle for an AI-powered planning platform used by millions worldwide.
What you'll do
- Develop threat models to identify risks across apps and infrastructure
- Conduct vulnerability scans, penetration tests, and security assessments
- Enforce secure coding practices alongside development teams
- Integrate security tools into CI/CD pipelines with DevOps
- Monitor incidents, perform root cause analysis, and prevent recurrence
- Ensure compliance with ISO 27001, GDPR, and SOC 2 standards
- Design IAM policies, encryption standards, and authentication flows
- Review security of features, APIs, and third-party integrations
What you'll need
- At least 4 years in cybersecurity or application security
- Strong grasp of OWASP Top 10 and threat modeling techniques
- Experience with Nessus, Qualys, Burp Suite, or similar tools
- Hands-on work with SIEM, IDS, and security monitoring platforms
- Proficiency in Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation
- Familiarity with cloud security on AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Knowledge of encryption protocols and API security best practices
- Experience integrating security into DevSecOps workflows
