Join Air Apps as a Security Engineer to safeguard systems against cyber threats. You will collaborate with development and DevOps teams to implement secure coding practices, conduct penetration testing, and ensure compliance with standards like ISO 27001 and GDPR.
Based in the Lisbon office, you will work in person to build a secure development lifecycle and manage identity access policies. The company supports relocation for candidates moving to Portugal.
What you'll do
- Develop threat models to identify risks across apps and infrastructure
- Conduct vulnerability scanning, penetration testing, and security assessments
- Enforce secure coding practices alongside development teams
- Integrate security tools into CI/CD pipelines with DevOps
- Monitor incidents, perform root cause analysis, and prevent recurrence
- Ensure compliance with ISO 27001, GDPR, and SOC 2 standards
- Design IAM policies, encryption standards, and authentication mechanisms
- Review security of features, APIs, and third-party integrations
What you'll need
- At least 4 years in cybersecurity or application security
- Strong knowledge of OWASP Top 10 and threat modeling
- Experience with Nessus, Qualys, Burp Suite, or similar tools
- Hands-on work with SIEM, IDS, and security monitoring platforms
- Proficiency in Python, Bash, or PowerShell for automation
- Familiarity with cloud security in AWS, Azure, or GCP
- Knowledge of encryption protocols and API security best practices
- Experience integrating security into DevSecOps workflows
