Etched builds specialized hardware for frontier intelligence, focusing on inference workloads. As a Security Engineer, you will safeguard high-performance compute clusters and intellectual property across on-premises and cloud systems. You will partner with infrastructure and application teams to create secure, scalable, and friction-free computing environments.
What you'll do
- Harden security baselines across on-prem, hybrid, and cloud systems
- Integrate telemetry and logging for unified infrastructure observability
- Lead vulnerability management, patching, and configuration assurance
- Implement zero-trust architectures, SASE controls, and conditional access
- Operate SIEM, SOAR, and EDR/XDR platforms for threat detection
- Develop automation and playbooks for incident response and remediation
- Investigate security incidents and perform root-cause analysis
- Build tools and AI agents to streamline monitoring workflows
What you'll need
- 5-7+ years in security engineering, SOC, or incident response
- Strong software engineering skills in Python, Go, and Bash
- Proficiency with SIEM and SOAR platforms for building detections
- Deep understanding of EDR/XDR and endpoint security hardening
- Experience with zero trust, SASE, CASB, and identity access control
- Familiarity with IAM systems like Okta, Google Workspace, and FreeIPA
- Strong networking knowledge including SDWAN, VPN, and firewalls
- Experience managing security telemetry pipelines and log ingestion
- Understanding of threat modeling and the MITRE ATT&CK framework
- Exposure to cloud environments such as AWS or GCP
