As a Senior AI Engineer, you will own significant parts of the AI architecture. You will transition from shipping production pipelines to defining how the company builds LLM-powered systems at scale.
What you'll do
- Architect and ship LLM-powered pipelines for clinical decision workflows
- Build Python back-end services integrating with enterprise health systems
- Ensure AI output quality via evaluation frameworks and monitoring
- Manage integrations with external enterprise environments and compliance needs
- Translate product requirements into scoped technical solutions
- Operate across the stack from RAG pipelines to cloud infrastructure
What you'll need
- 5+ years software engineering experience
- 2+ years shipping production AI/ML systems
- Experience building and deploying LLM applications
- Strong Python back-end skills including FastAPI and async patterns
- Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure cloud infrastructure
- Ability to handle enterprise compliance, audit, and security constraints
- Comfortable communicating technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders
Nice to have
- Prior work in healthcare or HIPAA-governed environments
- Experience with FHIR, HL7, or EDI data formats
- Exposure to TypeScript, Next.js, or front-end development
- Monorepo experience at scale
