Join the Engineering team at ClickUp to develop the core AI platform that powers their converged workspace. You will design scalable services for deploying and managing large language models while directly applying these technologies to create user-facing intelligent features.
The work requires building robust APIs, optimizing model serving infrastructure, and ensuring high reliability in production. You will collaborate with product and data teams to deliver secure, cost-efficient AI capabilities across tasks, docs, and search.
What you'll do
- Architect scalable services for LLM deployment and lifecycle management
- Build backend systems and APIs for AI feature integration
- Develop infrastructure for model serving, monitoring, and evaluation
- Manage routing and fallback strategies across multiple LLM providers
- Implement best practices for AI privacy, security, and compliance
- Optimize platform performance, scalability, and cloud costs
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver AI experiences
What you'll need
- Extensive experience building scalable AI/ML platforms in production
- Proven track record applying LLMs to real-world product features
- Deep expertise in backend engineering and distributed systems
- Proficiency with cloud-native technologies like Kubernetes and Docker
- Experience with orchestration frameworks such as LangGraph or Airflow
- Strong programming skills in Python, Go, or TypeScript
- Knowledge of MLOps practices including deployment and monitoring
- Ability to address AI privacy challenges and data protection regulations
Nice to have
- Familiarity with search technologies and AI-driven applications
- Experience optimizing cost-efficiency in cloud environments
