Join Credo AI as a Senior AI Research Engineer focused on transforming how organizations manage AI risk. You will lead the development of the AI Governance Agent, creating intelligent systems that reduce human effort in compliance and oversight.
Your work will involve prototyping and validating AI capabilities for risk identification and evidence evaluation. You will collaborate with product and engineering teams to turn these prototypes into scalable production systems that ensure responsible AI deployment.
What you'll do
- Design and develop the Credo AI Agent to streamline governance workflows
- Create hybrid systems combining rule-based logic with advanced AI capabilities
- Build and validate prototypes in the Labs environment for immediate value
- Research and implement state-of-the-art AI alignment and evaluation methods
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to transition prototypes to production
- Drive thought leadership in AI governance through publications and talks
What you'll need
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, AI/ML, or equivalent experience
- 3+ years experience deploying production LLM-based systems
- Expertise in prompt engineering, RAG, and LLM alignment
- Experience building complex AI agents with multiple components
- Proficiency in Python and modern AI development stacks
- Strong understanding of AI risks, governance frameworks, or compliance
- Excellent communication skills for diverse technical and non-technical stakeholders
Nice to have
- Experience with risk management, compliance, or governance systems
- Background in AI safety, alignment, or responsible AI research
- Track record of developing innovative AI applications for real-world problems
- Experience with rapid prototyping, agile development, and experimental validation
- Publication record in AI safety, LLMs, or governance areas
