Join Sentient to advance open-source artificial general intelligence by building the tools and frameworks that empower developers. You will design fault-tolerant infrastructure and performance-critical backend services that support generative AI models and multi-agent systems.
The team tackles fundamental challenges in AI development, creating robust platforms for fine-tuning and inference. You will collaborate with cross-functional groups to ship secure, scalable features from concept to production.
What you'll do
- Design and maintain fault-tolerant core infrastructure for the platform
- Architect performance-critical backend services on AWS and GCP
- Implement serverless architectures to optimize cloud resource use
- Build REST and Websocket APIs for AI application data delivery
- Deploy scalable end-to-end AI workflows including fine-tuning pipelines
- Create custom AI agent frameworks and multi-agent systems from scratch
- Manage release processes from development through to production
- Enforce security measures such as IAM, encryption, and security groups
- Write comprehensive documentation for reproducibility and transparency
What you'll need
- 5+ years of experience developing large applications and infrastructure
- Mastery of the Python programming language
- Deep expertise in AWS and GCP compute, networking, and storage services
- Proficiency with databases like RDS, DynamoDB, Bigtable, and Cloud SQL
- Strong skills in containerization with Docker and orchestration via Kubernetes
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CDK
- Understanding of Generative AI, LLMs, datasets, and inference processes
- Ability to solve problems and navigate ambiguity in a startup environment
