What you'll do
- Design and build scalable services and APIs for web applications
- Architect and maintain backend systems, database models, and infrastructure
- Analyze requirements to produce high-quality, production-ready code
- Refactor codebase to ensure system reliability and resilience
- Contribute to frontend code when needed to ship features end-to-end
- Take full ownership of work from initial design through deployment
- Collaborate with product and design teams to improve user experience
- Write clear specifications to ensure stress-free deployments
What you'll need
- 5+ years of relevant backend development experience
- Experience working in a start-up environment
- Strong fundamentals in API design and distributed systems
- Expertise in TypeScript, Node.js, and backend frameworks
- Comfort with React and frontend technologies
- Ability to create performant and scalable systems
- Strong communication skills for cross-functional collaboration
- Extreme bias toward action and continuous execution
