Join Monte Carlo to build the core backend services and distributed systems for their agent trust platform. You will take ambiguous problem statements from prototype to deployed product, ensuring reliability for enterprise AI systems.
What you'll do
- Transform vague problem statements into tested, deployed products
- Build and run production-grade backend services and APIs in Python
- Design scalable distributed systems for high data and agent volume
- Evolve simple designs as the product and company scale
- Maintain data pipelines for analytics and ML features
- Collaborate with partners to ship customer value and build React UIs
What you'll need
- 5+ years shipping production backend services
- Strong Python skills or equivalent backend language experience
- Experience designing and debugging APIs under load
- Proven track record building and scaling distributed architectures
- Experience with data pipelines or data-heavy systems on AWS
- Frontend experience with React to ship full features
- Willingness to own testing, deployment, and on-call duties
Nice to have
- Experience with PySpark
- Background in ML platforms
- Experience with agentic or LLM-powered systems
