Join the Asset Sales engineering group to scale M-KOPA's FinTech platform. You will design and operate backend systems that provide financial access to millions of customers across Africa. The team emphasizes AI-native engineering practices, using tools like Claude for design, coding, and testing within a distributed microservices architecture.
What you'll do
- Build and operate distributed C# and .NET microservices on Azure
- Design systems for idempotency, retries, and failure modes
- Use AI tools for code generation, review, and incident investigation
- Monitor production behavior using Grafana and Application Insights
- Participate in on-call rotations to improve platform resilience
- Collaborate with distributed teams across multiple time zones
What you'll need
- Strong proficiency in C# and .NET development
- Experience with event-driven systems like Azure Service Bus or Kafka
- Background in microservices architecture on Azure and Kubernetes
- Familiarity with observability tools such as Grafana
- Comfort integrating AI tools into daily engineering workflows
- DevOps mindset with experience in production ownership
- Proven ability to work effectively in remote, distributed teams
