Join Yubo's Innovate squad to build and test ambitious features through continuous experimentation. You will design, ship, and operate resilient backend systems that validate bold product bets while maintaining scalability and cost efficiency. This position emphasizes rapid iteration, learning from data, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to redefine social discovery for Gen Z.
What you'll do
- Design and deliver backend capabilities from specification to production rollout
- Define success metrics and iterate based on quantitative signals and KPIs
- Build resilient, scalable systems adapted for high-risk experimentation
- Diagnose complex production issues using observability tools and logs
- Strengthen team best practices and contribute to technical documentation
- Mentor peers through code reviews and pairing sessions
What you'll need
- Five or more years of backend experience, ideally in scale-up environments
- Proficiency in Node.js and TypeScript
- Solid experience designing APIs with focus on performance and security
- Experience with event-driven systems such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or NATS
- Strong engineering best practices including testing and code quality
- Product mindset with ability to collaborate closely with Product teams
- Clear communication skills for explaining technical topics to non-technical stakeholders
- Comfortable working in English within an international environment
Nice to have
- Experience in scalable architecture design
- Previous experience mentoring peers
- Familiarity with RFC-style structured decision-making processes
