Constructor provides an AI-driven search and discovery engine for major ecommerce brands, processing over a billion queries daily. You will join the engineering team to optimize offsite search performance, working with transformers and generative LLMs to improve revenue and conversion metrics.
What you'll do
- Build and own production backend services using Python
- Work with data-heavy systems including analytics and logging
- Monitor, alert, and debug user-facing systems
- Ship maintainable software through testing and code reviews
What you'll need
- Strong experience in building backend services with Python
- Proficient SQL skills for data-intensive environments
- Experience with monitoring and debugging live systems
- Ability to deliver incremental, well-tested code
Nice to have
- Knowledge of SEO fundamentals
- Experience with APIs, OAuth2, and Google Search Analytics
- Familiarity with non-structured data like referrers
- Experience building data integrations between products
- Understanding of ETL/ELT workflows on PySpark
