Join Teleport as a product-focused systems engineer working on the Core Product team. You will tackle challenges related to performance, scalability, security, and networking while contributing to an open-source codebase primarily written in Go.
The position covers the full product lifecycle, from understanding customer problems and writing design documents to implementation and testing. You will collaborate closely with other teams to ensure the reliability of large-scale deployments.
What you'll do
- Become an expert on scalability, performance, and reliability for large deployments
- Design, develop, and ship high-quality products
- Write the majority of code in Go
- Collaborate with internal teams on scalability and performance matters
- Work directly with customers to diagnose and fix performance issues
- Grow technical expertise through continuous learning
What you'll need
- Extensive experience programming in Go
- Experience building scalable, reliable, and performant distributed systems
- Linux systems engineering experience
- Knowledge of Identity Management, RBAC, ABAC, and zero-trust security
- Builder mentality with experience creating zero-to-one products
- Willingness to complete a Go coding challenge during interviews
- Transparency, honesty, and a no-ego mindset

- Significant contributions to Open Source projects
