You will design and operate critical systems for identity management, funds movement, and on-chain trading infrastructure. This position requires building highly reliable and secure backends that enable product teams to move quickly while maintaining strict financial correctness.
The team values urgency and technical excellence, tackling complex challenges in decentralized finance. You will collaborate across Product, Security, and Ops to define reliability standards and lead large-scale technical projects from design to rollout.
What you'll do
- Design IAM services including auth flows, sessions, and device trust
- Implement authorization policies, MFA, and key management controls
- Orchestrate transfers, payments, and ledger reconciliation flows
- Manage blockchain nodes, RPCs, and transaction submission logic
- Index and stream on-chain data into internal services and stores
- Define SLOs, error budgets, and incident management practices
- Mentor engineers and contribute to design reviews and standards
What you'll need
- 5–12+ years in backend, product, or platform engineering
- Experience with high-scale, high-availability fintech or crypto systems
- Deep expertise in IAM, financial ledgering, or blockchain infra
- Strong background in distributed systems, queues, and streaming
- Track record of driving architecture decisions to implementation
- Operational mindset with monitoring and incident response experience
- Excellent collaboration skills with cross-functional teams
Nice to have
- Experience with Go, Rust, or Solana
- Familiarity with Google Cloud or Amazon Web Services
- Background in crypto wallets, exchanges, or DeFi protocols
- Knowledge of Flutter, React Native, or Headless CRMs
- Exposure to data warehousing for financial reporting
- Contributions to open-source projects

How you'll work
- Fully remote within United States and Canada
- NYC location preferred for periodic in-person sprints
