Palmstreet is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to lead architectural decisions and develop core features for its live shopping platform. You will build robust backend services using Node.js, handle high-concurrency systems, and manage deployment pipelines to support millions of users.
What you'll do
- Build and maintain backend services and APIs using Node.js
- Lead key architectural decisions for scalable systems
- Manage DevOps tasks including CI/CD and infrastructure
- Collaborate with product and design teams on features
- Use AI coding tools to accelerate development velocity
- Ensure system reliability and automate deployments
What you'll need
- BS or higher in Computer Science
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Mandarin
- 5+ years experience in scalable infrastructure
- Hands-on DevOps experience with Kubernetes and Docker
- Experience with cloud platforms like GCP or AWS
- Proficiency with AI-assisted development tools
Nice to have
- Experience with payment systems
- Background in building high-concurrency systems
- Knowledge of React, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
