We are looking for a Senior Data Architect to define target data architectures for multi-cloud cost, usage, and financial datasets. You will design conceptual, logical, and physical data models optimized for BigQuery analytical workloads while establishing governance standards and supporting AI-agent use cases.
What you'll do
- Define target data architecture for multi-cloud cost and financial datasets
- Design conceptual, logical, and physical data models for BigQuery
- Create source-to-target mappings, transformation rules, and lineage docs
- Establish canonical entities and domain models for AI-agent use cases
- Design integration patterns for APIs, files, and event streams
- Partner with AI Engineers to design safe BigQuery datasets for agents
- Review SQL queries and pipelines for performance and cost efficiency
- Establish governance standards for lineage, access control, and quality
What you'll need
- Strong background in data engineering or data architecture
- Deep expertise in conceptual, logical, and dimensional data modeling
- Advanced SQL skills and experience with Google Cloud BigQuery
- Strong knowledge of GCP ecosystem including IAM and Pub/Sub
- Proven ability to produce data contracts and lineage documentation
- Expertise in BigQuery partitioning, clustering, and cost optimization
- Hands-on Python experience for data services and API integrations
- Strong understanding of data governance and least-privilege access
