Join Codat to engineer the data foundation for an AI Assistant used by commercial bankers. You will design, build, and maintain the pipelines and semantic layers that allow the assistant to reason over financial data, ensuring reliability and accuracy for end users.
What you'll do
- Build and maintain data pipelines from raw sources to final metrics
- Design semantic layers and metric definitions for AI reasoning
- Implement testing and observability to improve system reliability
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and commercial teams on roadmap
- Own features from initial design through to production deployment
What you'll need
- Experience building production systems and pipelines from scratch
- Strong Python skills with a focus on maintainable test suites
- Deep expertise in SQL, Spark, and data orchestration tools
- Proficiency with CI/CD, Docker, and cloud infrastructure setup
- Ability to critique data requests based on business logic understanding
- Active use of AI tools to enhance personal workflow efficiency
Nice to have
- Experience preparing data for LLMs via semantic layers
- Knowledge of text-to-SQL or retrieval augmented generation
