SKELAR is a venture builder that creates consumer businesses in sectors like EdTech, Mental Health, and FashionTech. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will design reliable ETL/ELT processes and cloud data warehouses to support product metrics and actionable insights for these global brands.
What you'll do
- Build and scale reliable ETL/ELT pipelines for user activity data
- Design cloud data warehouses and analytical architectures
- Ensure data availability, accuracy, security, and observability
- Collaborate with analytics and backend teams to define product metrics
- Maintain data lineage and platform quality standards
What you'll need
- Deep proficiency in Python and SQL for production solutions
- Experience with ETL/ELT orchestration tools like Airflow or Dataform
- Practical knowledge of GCP, AWS, or Azure cloud platforms
- Strong understanding of data warehousing and dimensional modeling
- At least 5 years of experience as a Data Engineer in production
- Ability to advocate for technical decisions and take ownership
- Proactive approach to mentoring colleagues and code reviews
Nice to have
- Background in Data Analytics to understand data consumers
- Experience as a Python Engineer outside of data contexts
