Join the Data Platform Serving team to maintain fast, reliable, and compliant infrastructure for public sector investigations. You will work on the StarRocks-backed serving layer, ensuring it scales effectively while supporting critical crime disruption efforts.
This role involves becoming the second engineer capable of independently operating this high-availability environment. You will use AI-assisted tools to tune performance, reduce incident response times, and eliminate single points of failure in a regulated cloud setup.
What you'll do
- Tune StarRocks serving layer performance using AI-assisted query profiling
- Build and harden data pipelines for government cloud investigations
- Reduce single-point-of-failure risks by sharing operational ownership
- Triage production issues rapidly using AI-assisted debugging and log analysis
- Ship reliable changes faster through AI code review workflows
What you'll need
- U.S. citizenship is mandatory for government cloud data access
- Experience operating distributed OLAP or serving-layer systems like StarRocks
- Proven ability in query tuning and performance optimization at scale
- Comfort using AI tools such as Claude or Cursor for debugging and coding
- Strong independent ownership mindset with minimal oversight needed
- Experience managing data pipeline reliability and incident response
