Join the Data Platform Serving team to maintain the high-availability infrastructure supporting public sector investigations. You will work on the StarRocks-backed serving layer, ensuring it remains fast, reliable, and compliant as it scales. This role offers the chance to build distributed systems experience in a demanding, regulated environment alongside the current domain owner.
What you'll do
- Tune StarRocks performance using AI-assisted query profiling to prevent incidents
- Build and harden data pipelines for government cloud investigations
- Reduce single-point-of-failure risk by becoming the second operator of the serving layer
- Triage production issues using AI-assisted debugging and log analysis
- Ship reliable changes faster using AI code review workflows
What you'll need
- Must hold U.S. citizenship for government cloud access
- Experience operating distributed OLAP or serving-layer systems like StarRocks or Trino
- Proven ability in query tuning and performance optimization at scale
- Comfort using AI tools such as Claude or Cursor for debugging and code review
- Independent ownership mindset with ability to troubleshoot unfamiliar infrastructure
