Join Sardine’s risk platform team to combat financial crime through data-driven strategies. You will design scalable machine learning solutions, analyze complex datasets, and work directly with clients to mitigate fraud risks while optimizing user experience.
This position requires balancing technical model development with business impact, translating insights into actionable recommendations for stakeholders across product, engineering, and business units.
What you'll do
- Build and deploy machine learning models for fraud prevention from prototype to production
- Develop metrics to monitor risk product performance and strategy effectiveness
- Conduct deep data analysis to reduce fraud and improve client approval rates
- Collaborate with clients to understand challenges and provide data-backed recommendations
- Create automated self-serve dashboards using BI tools for internal and client use
- Partner with engineering teams to scale models and optimize data instrumentation
- Translate business requirements into data-driven solutions with cross-functional teams
What you'll need
- 7+ years in data science, quantitative modeling, or analytics with fraud/risk impact
- Strong hands-on proficiency in Python or R and SQL is essential
- Expertise in BI tools such as Tableau, Sigma, or Metabase
- Ability to structure complex data using EDA and cohort analysis techniques
- Proven skill in communicating findings to technical and non-technical audiences
- Sharp critical thinking with a bias toward action and creative problem-solving
- Proficiency in defining, tracking, and communicating performance metrics
