Join TRM Labs as a Senior Data Scientist focused on attribution within specific risk categories like sanctions or cybercrime. You will translate domain expertise into production-grade intelligence, building algorithms that help agencies disrupt crime networks. What you'll do
- Own end-to-end attribution for a specific risk category
- Build heuristics, ML models, and AI agents for production
- Translate customer needs into actionable intelligence solutions
- Analyze network, on-chain, and protocol data layers
- Ship scalable data pipelines with rigorous evaluation
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and engineers
What you'll need
- 6+ years in analytical roles with strong SQL and Python skills
- Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, or related field
- Experience with distributed systems like Spark, BigQuery, or Airflow
- Proficiency with AI-assisted coding tools such as Cursor or Claude Code
- Ability to work independently in a remote, async environment
- Strong problem-solving skills in ambiguous situations
Nice to have
- Deep machine learning experience
- Background in crypto, financial crime, or banking
- Curiosity about fraud and money laundering patterns

How you'll work
- Fully remote and globally distributed team
- Requires 4-hour overlap with PST business hours
