As a Senior Developer Advocate at Sanity.io, you will serve as the primary interface between the company and the developer community. Your goal is to build credibility and trust by shipping high-quality technical content, including blog posts, use cases, and video demos tailored for builders using AI.
You will manage relationships across online platforms and offline events, ensuring Sanity maintains a strong presence where developers congregate. The role involves creating AI-first workflows for the internal team and actively participating in the broader web development and AI ecosystem.
What you'll do
- Create technical content such as blog posts, demos, and videos for AI-focused builders
- Develop AI-first workflows and plugins to increase team efficiency
- Maintain active presence on Discord, X, GitHub, Reddit, and other community hubs
- Represent Sanity at conferences, meetups, and community events globally
- Build and manage relationships that support developer community programs
What you'll need
- Located in the US or UK
- 3+ years in developer relations or 2+ years in AI engineering
- Ability to write code, ship demos, and discuss technical builds credibly
- Active user of AI coding tools with practical experience to share
- Strong understanding of current web development tools and AI trends
- Proven ability to build healthy, engaged developer communities
- Comfortable with public speaking on stage and in workshops
- Organized enough to manage multiple programs simultaneously
Nice to have
- Experience running a community program rather than just participating
- Existing presence in JavaScript, Next.js, or AI dev tool communities
- Track record of empowering developers through shared projects
- Background with headless CMS, content platforms, or AI dev tooling
