A Place for Mom is hiring a Senior DevOps Engineer to scale its cloud infrastructure and enhance platform engineering capabilities. You will partner with Engineering, Security, and Product teams to improve developer experience, system reliability, and operational excellence through automation and best practices.
What you'll do
- Design and operate scalable, secure AWS cloud infrastructure
- Lead platform engineering initiatives to boost developer productivity
- Drive Infrastructure as Code practices using Terraform
- Build and enhance CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
- Improve observability via monitoring, logging, and alerting
- Collaborate with Security teams on cloud hardening and compliance
- Mentor engineers and lead technical architectural discussions
- Evaluate and implement AI-powered engineering tools
What you'll need
- 7+ years in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or SRE
- Deep hands-on experience with AWS environments
- Strong expertise with Terraform for infrastructure management
- Experience with containerized workloads like ECS or Kubernetes
- Proficiency in building CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions or Jenkins
- Experience with observability platforms such as Datadog or New Relic
- Strong understanding of networking, cloud security, and distributed systems
- Scripting skills in Python, Bash, Go, or similar languages
Nice to have
- Experience with large-scale multi-account AWS environments
- Background in building internal developer platforms
- Knowledge of SRE practices including SLOs and SLIs
- Familiarity with AI-powered developer tooling
- Relevant AWS, Kubernetes, or Terraform certifications
