Lead the Solutions Architecture function for Asia Pacific at Cohere, an enterprise AI company. You will own the technical strategy for customers in regulated sectors who require secure, on-premises, or hybrid AI deployments. This position involves building a local team, establishing regional depth, and partnering with sales leadership to close strategic enterprise deals.
What you'll do
- Hire, coach, and develop the APAC Solutions Architecture team
- Define vision and strategy for solutions architecture in the region
- Lead technical engagements for strategic accounts and executive workshops
- Architect secure AI deployments for cloud, hybrid, and air-gapped environments
- Partner with sales leadership to own pipeline and technical win rates
- Translate customer needs into product roadmap priorities with Engineering
- Create repeatable solution assets and industry playbooks for the team
- Report on operational metrics including coverage and team performance
What you'll need
- 15+ years in Solutions Architecture or Technical Consulting
- 7+ years leading customer-facing technical teams
- Proven network and experience in multiple APAC markets
- Hands-on experience deploying real AI systems into production
- Strong commercial acumen and ability to influence strategic deals
- Executive presence with C-suite and technical stakeholders
- Deep understanding of modern AI architectures and LLMs
- Experience in complex, regulated, or large-scale enterprise environments
Nice to have
- Experience building AI functions in large regulated enterprises
- Depth in APAC financial services, telecom, or public sector
- Experience with on-premises, sovereign, or air-gapped deployments
- Background in enterprise AI, cloud, or data platform companies
- Working proficiency in a regional language besides English
