  • AMD/Xilinx focus
  • Embedded Linux & Yocto
  • Board bring-up expert
  • Global remote team

You will own embedded designs for system-level validation, taking new boards from first power-on to a stable, validated platform. The role requires writing firmware and low-level software for ARM or RISC-V cores while defining validation strategies across hardware and software boundaries.

What you'll do

  • Define silicon-to-solution validation strategy including plans and signoffs
  • Bring up bare-metal and embedded Linux systems to exercise full hardware
  • Write firmware and low-level software for ARM or RISC-V cores
  • Build and customize embedded Linux images using Yocto-based flows
  • Own new board bring-up from initial power-on to stable platform state
  • Develop validation tests and automate execution for regression scaling
  • Debug complex issues spanning silicon, firmware, drivers, and OS
  • Partner with architecture and design teams to drive production readiness

What you'll need

  • Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Engineering, EE, or Computer Science
  • Deep hands-on experience in hardware bring-up and validation
  • Proven track record in board bring-up from power-on to interface setup
  • Strong C/C++ skills for bare-metal and Linux-based embedded systems
  • Experience with AMD/Xilinx embedded Linux flows and Yocto BSPs
  • Validation experience with Ethernet, USB, SPI, I2C, UART, and CAN
  • Working knowledge of AMD/Xilinx Vitis and EDF environments
  • Proficiency in Python, Tcl, Shell, and Makefiles for automation

Nice to have

  • Linux kernel-mode driver development knowledge
  • Experience with structured CI and regression workflows
  • Track record of technical leadership and mentoring
