Join NexusOne as a Senior Engineer to design, build, and maintain the data infrastructure powering company-wide analytics and product features. You will collaborate with engineering and business stakeholders to transform raw data into reliable, well-modeled datasets, owning pipelines end-to-end while prioritizing data quality and system reliability.
What you'll do
- Design and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines for diverse data sources
- Develop and optimize data models and schemas for analytics needs
- Monitor pipeline health and implement observability practices
- Partner with teams to translate data needs into durable solutions
- Improve performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency of infrastructure
- Write technical documentation and contribute to code standards
- Participate in on-call rotations to support production systems
What you'll need
- 4+ years of experience in data engineering or related fields
- Strong proficiency in SQL and Python, Scala, or Java
- Hands-on experience building production ETL/ELT pipelines
- Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure
- Solid understanding of data modeling and quality concepts
- Ability to diagnose issues in large, complex datasets independently
Nice to have
- Experience with orchestration tools like Airflow or Dagster
- Familiarity with streaming technologies such as Kafka
- Experience with dbt or similar transformation frameworks
- Exposure to infrastructure-as-code practices like Terraform
- Prior experience supporting analytics or data science teams
