Join Docplanner as a Senior Engineering Manager for the Payments area, leading a team of 7-9 engineers. You will work closely with Product and Design to deliver high-quality payment solutions while maintaining hands-on coding responsibilities and fostering an AI-native culture.
What you'll do
- Manage performance, feedback, and growth plans for 7-9 engineers
- Coach engineers through pairing, code reviews, and stretch assignments
- Collaborate with Product and Design on strategy and experimentation
- Write code and implement architectural changes directly
- Maintain high quality and low operational burden in AI workflows
- Track delivery speed, quality, and product impact metrics
What you'll need
- 8+ years of software engineering experience
- 4+ years leading engineering teams in product companies
- Proven track record in hiring and performance management
- Hands-on experience using AI for coding and refactoring
- Founder mindset with ability to pivot based on user feedback
- Comfortable working in ambiguity and driving new initiatives
- Fluent English proficiency
Nice to have
- Experience in payments or fintech sectors
- Background working with systems at scale
