Join Lightning Labs as a Senior Engineering Manager to help expand the engineering team. You will collaborate directly with the CTO to ensure product quality, proper resource distribution, and team agility across functional boundaries.
This position requires a highly technical leader capable of analyzing complex tradeoffs in software design. You will drive the delivery of secure and robust software while fostering team harmony and individual satisfaction.
What you'll do
- Hire, mentor, and grow engineering teams to boost satisfaction
- Manage cross-functional projects and prioritize engineering resources
- Review and analyze software architecture designs
- Establish processes for delivering secure and reliable software
- Collaborate with the CTO to scale the engineering organization
What you'll need
- At least 5 years of software engineering experience in systems
- Minimum 3 years of prior engineering management experience
- Proven track record of working with remote teams
- Experience maintaining or contributing to open source projects
- Working knowledge of fundamental Bitcoin design principles
- Highly technical mindset for analyzing complex tradeoffs
