As the focal point for the Federal Compliance Program, you will ensure the security posture of Horizon3’s DoD Impact Level 4 and 5 offerings. You will translate complex federal regulations into technical specifications for cloud-native infrastructure while managing continuous monitoring and external audits.
What you'll do
- Lead compliance assessments and build-out for DoD IL4 and IL5 authorizations
- Maintain compliance posture for FedRAMP High and NIST SP 800-53 frameworks
- Translate regulatory requirements into actionable technical specs for engineers
- Oversee internal audits, risk assessments, and continuous monitoring programs
- Serve as primary contact for external auditors and federal sponsors
- Respond to security questionnaires and vendor risk assessments
- Develop GRC policies and deliver compliance training to staff
- Participate in incident response related to compliance or federal data
What you'll need
- 3-5+ years experience in GRC, Security Compliance, or similar roles
- Strong knowledge of DoD CC SRG, FedRAMP, and NIST SP 800-53
- Experience securing and managing compliance in AWS environments
- Proven ability to write and maintain System Security Plans and policies
- Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders
- US Citizenship and ability to obtain/maintain government security clearance
- Bachelor's degree in IT, CS, Cybersecurity, or equivalent experience
