Join Form Energy’s project engineering and deployment team to support the rollout of commercial-scale energy storage solutions. You will work closely with engineers to install, test, and troubleshoot complex battery systems, ensuring grid reliability through hands-on technical expertise.
What you'll do
- Support installation, commissioning, and maintenance of battery systems
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues to find root causes
- Perform software, firmware, and networking configuration upgrades
- Execute test plans to characterize system performance and functionality
- Provide emergency response at sites to minimize plant downtime
- Document results and communicate findings to improve product performance
- Maintain tools, vehicles, and equipment while ensuring site safety
What you'll need
- 7+ years of field experience with high-powered equipment
- Expertise in utility-scale energy storage systems preferred
- Proficient in high-voltage troubleshooting and control diagnostics
- Knowledge of industrial protocols like CAN, Modbus, and Ethernet
- Ability to interpret complex electrical schematics and wiring diagrams
- Experience operating high-voltage instrumentation and mechanical subsystems
- Strong safety mindset with experience in heavy construction environments
- Willingness to wear heavy PPE including chemical suits and face shields
- Valid driver’s license and flexibility for weekend or holiday work
