Join the Applied AI unit at Juniper Square to design and manage custom AI agents that solve operational problems for private markets general partners. You will work directly with clients to translate ambiguous business needs into working software, leveraging modern AI infrastructure.
This position combines full-stack engineering with product management responsibilities. You will own the entire lifecycle of your projects, ensuring high adoption and impact while contributing reusable patterns back to the team.
What you'll do
- Collaborate with client stakeholders to identify workflows where custom AI agents add value
- Translate ambiguous business problems into clear technical requirements and scope
- Build agentic systems including retrieval, orchestration, and evaluation harnesses
- Manage the full solution lifecycle from prototype to production deployment
- Provide post-launch support and iterate based on user feedback
- Mentor less experienced engineers and contribute to reusable component libraries
What you'll need
- At least five years of experience shipping production software end to end
- Hands-on experience building AI-enabled applications
- Proven track record of owning delivery and ensuring product adoption
- Full-stack engineering skills across data, services, and UI
- Experience deploying and operating applications on major cloud providers
- Direct experience managing relationships with external clients
- Strong ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Nice to have
- Background in private markets or financial services
- Familiarity with SOC 2 obligations and multi-tenant isolation
- Experience testing non-deterministic AI systems
- Previous consulting or forward deployed engineering experience
