Join Gray Swan to help organizations deploy AI systems safely. As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you will build and implement enterprise-grade software directly within customer infrastructure. You will bridge the gap between core engineering and client needs, ensuring secure and reliable deployments.
What you'll do
- Design integrations between Gray Swan’s platform and customer systems
- Translate enterprise requirements into deployment plans and architectures
- Act as primary technical owner for customer deployments
- Build backend services and tooling for secure environments
- Develop proofs of concept to validate technical feasibility
- Partner with sales and product teams to ensure customer success
- Communicate technical tradeoffs to internal and external stakeholders
What you'll need
- Experience building and deploying production-grade software
- Strong background in backend or full-stack engineering
- Familiarity with cloud-native architectures on AWS, GCP, or Azure
- Comfort working in ambiguous, fast-moving environments
- Experience collaborating directly with customers on technical delivery
- Proficiency in Python and one systems language like Go, Java, C++, or Rust
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
Nice to have
- Experience deploying enterprise software into customer environments
- Background in security, infrastructure, or platform engineering
- Familiarity with AI systems or AI security concepts
- Experience in technical consulting or pre-sales roles
