Join Weave as a Senior Frontend Engineer to build the operating system for small healthcare practices. You will own the end-to-end technical execution of initiatives, translating product goals into scalable architecture while balancing speed and quality.
This position requires engineers who thrive in ambiguous environments and care deeply about craft and system health. You will collaborate with Product, Design, and Backend teams to deliver AI-driven experiences for millions of patients.
What you'll do
- Lead technical execution from design proposals to production release
- Translate product goals into scalable frontend architecture decisions
- Improve shared libraries and platform capabilities in React and Electron apps
- Identify risks and de-risk solutions in ambiguous problem spaces
- Reduce technical debt and improve test coverage and code quality
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on API contracts and trade-offs
- Debug production issues and contribute to incident response processes
- Mentor engineers through code reviews and technical guidance
What you'll need
- 5+ years building modern web applications with TypeScript or JavaScript
- 3+ years of experience working with React or similar frameworks
- Proven track record leading end-to-end technical implementation
- Strong grasp of frontend architecture and state management
- Experience consuming and influencing RESTful APIs
- Ability to debug complex production issues effectively
- Experience writing unit, integration, and E2E automated tests
Nice to have
- Experience building or maintaining Electron applications
- Deep knowledge of idiomatic TypeScript practices
- Familiarity with Storybook, Sentry, Playwright, or Cypress
- Experience with performance benchmarking and tuning
- Understanding of deployment, monitoring, and operations
- Experience with secure payment flows or PCI-sensitive UIs
- Exposure to server-side rendering concepts
