Join Council Capital as a Senior Individual Contributor to build services and interfaces on a cloud platform. You will work closely with product teams to take requests from concept to shipment, operating within a trunk-based development environment that emphasizes daily progress and short-lived branches.
What you'll do
- Build features end-to-end including REST APIs, SPAs, and data models
- Design cloud platforms using containers and stateless services
- Shape product requests into work items and build them efficiently
- Review teammate pull requests and adhere to team coding patterns
- Develop relational database schemas and optimize query performance
- Ensure zero PHI exists in development environments without exception
What you'll need
- At least 5 years of professional software engineering experience
- Experience building REST APIs and single page applications
- Working knowledge of cloud technology and stateless app development
- Relational database development experience with broad depth
- Experience working in a version-controlled development environment
- Ability to become useful in unfamiliar stacks within weeks
Nice to have
- Experience with trunk-based development workflows
- Proficiency in Python, React, and Postgres
- Familiarity with agentic or AI-assisted coding tools
- Background in high-compliance environments like healthcare
