Join the Basketball engineering team at GameChanger to enhance the experience for coaches, parents, and fans. You will design and deliver features that power live game scoring, statistical analysis, and post-game reviews across web and mobile platforms.
Reporting to the Basketball Engineering Manager, you will own technical decisions and ensure system scalability. The team focuses on making basketball data accessible and actionable while collaborating closely with product, design, and other engineering groups.
What you'll do
- Build and improve backend services and APIs for scorekeeping and stats
- Develop web features for accessing box scores and game statistics
- Own technical design and architectural decisions for project delivery
- Partner with mobile engineers to support iOS and Android capabilities
- Collaborate with product and design teams across multiple squads
- Write tested, maintainable code to improve system reliability
- Mentor peers and share technical knowledge through code reviews
What you'll need
- Proven experience delivering production backend services and APIs
- Strong track record building apps with TypeScript and Node.js
- Experience developing web features using React
- Ability to independently design solutions and lead projects
- Depth in backend development with focus on scalable code
- Experience collaborating across teams and mentoring engineers
- Interest in sports products or familiarity with basketball stats
