What you'll do
- Build scalable consumer-based applications with a focus on performance
- Develop and maintain APIs for backend services
- Implement client-side bundling techniques for optimal speed
- Shard databases effectively to handle large data volumes
- Write unit, integration, and load tests to ensure reliability
- Advocate for end-user needs during specification discussions
- Uphold best practices in engineering, security, and design
What you'll need
- 5+ years of experience with TypeScript, React, and Node.js
- Strong understanding of computer science fundamentals and patterns
- Proficiency with document and key-value stores like Redis or MongoDB
- Solid knowledge of SQL databases and query optimization
- Expertise in HTML, CSS, and React for frontend development
- Experience building scalable consumer-facing applications
- Strong background in unit, integration, and load testing
Nice to have
- Experience with high traffic, low latency applications
- Significant open source contributions
- DevOps experience and familiarity with cloud APIs
- Knowledge of Digital Signal Processing
- Background in working within fast-growing startups
