You will operate the software infrastructure supporting d-Matrix engineers, including Kubernetes clusters, GitLab CI runners, and demo environments. The role requires diagnosing and fixing issues across cloud resources, conventional servers, and proprietary AI accelerators, turning recurring problems into automated solutions.
What you'll do
- Own first response and resolution for issues in Kubernetes, GitLab, and VMs
- Triage incidents with IT and product teams when root causes lie elsewhere
- Convert recurring issues into automation, alerts, and runbooks
- Improve monitoring to reduce false alarms and speed up detection
- Perform routine operations like upgrades, patching, and capacity checks
- Participate in on-call coverage for the infrastructure environment
What you'll need
- 2+ years operating production Linux systems
- Hands-on Kubernetes troubleshooting experience
- Methodical debugging skills across system layers
- Scripting proficiency in Python and/or Bash
- Familiarity with CI/CD systems, preferably GitLab
- Working knowledge of DNS, routing, load balancing, and TLS
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools
- Clear communication skills for incident status updates
Nice to have
- Experience with GPU or accelerator nodes in Kubernetes
- Knowledge of infrastructure-as-code tools like Ansible or Terraform
- Experience with DataDog, Prometheus, or Grafana
- Bare metal or on-prem infrastructure experience
- CKA or CKAD certification
