Join Horizon3, a remote-first cybersecurity company building the NodeZero platform for autonomous penetration testing. As a Senior IT Systems Engineer, you will protect the distributed workforce by managing authentication, communication channels, and network connectivity.
You will split your time between securing identity and email systems (60%) and maintaining reliable network infrastructure (40%). This position requires close collaboration with Security and Help Desk teams to resolve complex issues and enforce security standards.
What you'll do
- Administer and secure Okta or equivalent IdP/SSO platforms
- Configure email security controls including DKIM, DMARC, and SPF
- Manage firewall policies, routing, and network monitoring
- Triage and remediate incidents related to identity and connectivity
- Document network topology and security architecture configurations
- Support onboarding and offboarding processes for remote staff
- Evaluate and improve identity architecture and email security posture
What you'll need
- 3-5 years in systems administration or network security
- Hands-on experience with Okta or similar SSO platforms
- Proficiency in configuring Google Workspace or Microsoft 365
- Experience administering enterprise firewalls and switches
- Strong knowledge of VPN architecture and network segmentation
- Ability to troubleshoot complex connectivity issues independently
- Experience supporting distributed or remote-first workforces
Nice to have
- Certifications such as Security+, CCNA, CCNP, or Okta
- Experience with SASE/SSE platforms or Zero Trust architecture
- Scripting skills in Python or PowerShell for automation
- Background in high-growth SaaS or cybersecurity companies
