ActAI aims to replace basic applications with proactive, AI-native tools that require minimal prompting. As a Senior Member of Technical Staff, you will own critical machine learning subsystems, turning research ideas into reliable production systems that handle real-world tasks.
You will work end-to-end on data preparation, training, evaluation, and inference. The role demands strong system design skills to manage latency, cost, and safety while collaborating with research and product teams to deliver user impact.
What you'll do
- Own critical ML subsystems from data prep to inference
- Design practical solutions for ambiguous problems
- Debug model failures using production signals
- Ensure systems meet latency, cost, and reliability targets
- Mentor other engineers through technical judgment
- Collaborate with research and product teams
- Iterate quickly by shipping and measuring outcomes
What you'll need
- Experience shipping ML systems used by real users
- Strong understanding of model behavior in production
- Ability to write production-quality code, not scripts
- Proven ability to work independently and take ownership
- Clear communication and fast learning capabilities
- Experience with GPU-based training and inference
