Lead the engineering team responsible for Vultr's cloud storage portfolio, covering design, deployment, and operation of block, object, and file services. You will manage performance tiers from Archival to Accelerated across all global data centers, shaping the infrastructure that powers hundreds of thousands of customer workloads.
What you'll do
- Lead and grow storage engineers and operators across multiple regions
- Own technical delivery for block, object, and file storage products
- Drive architecture decisions for multi-tenant, multi-tier platforms
- Ensure five-nines availability, durability, and performance SLAs
- Optimize systems for AI and HPC workloads requiring low latency
- Manage capacity planning, cost optimization, and vendor relationships
What you'll need
- 7+ years in storage engineering with 3+ years in management
- Deep expertise with Ceph and distributed storage architectures
- Experience operating multi-tenant cloud storage services at scale
- Strong understanding of block, object, and file storage protocols
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent
Nice to have
- Experience with DDN, VAST, Weka, or NetApp platforms
- Knowledge of high-performance storage for AI and HPC workloads
