This role manages the transition of Skydio’s autonomous flight technology from evaluation and pilot phases into scalable, day-to-day commercial operations. You will partner with internal stakeholders to build business cases, establish ROI frameworks, and ensure successful adoption across distributed enterprise environments.
The ideal candidate has experience as an internal business leader within a large enterprise, responsible for deciding how emerging technologies are operationalized. You will drive measurable operational value in safety, efficiency, and security for commercial site customers.
What you'll do
- Lead evaluation of emerging technologies for operational feasibility and business value
- Build financial and operational ROI models to support executive investment decisions
- Transition successful pilot programs into repeatable, scalable operational processes
- Design operating models, governance, and training for sustainable technology adoption
- Manage budgets, forecasts, and vendor relationships for strategic initiatives
- Serve as the operational bridge between Product, Engineering, Security, and IT
- Build and mentor a team of program managers and operational subject matter experts
What you'll need
- 8+ years leading enterprise operational programs or technology operations
- Experience evaluating emerging technologies for operational adoption in large enterprises
- Proven success scaling new technologies from pilot to enterprise-wide deployment
- Strong ability to develop business cases and ROI analyses for executives
- Deep understanding of change management and technology implementation processes
- Excellent executive communication and cross-functional stakeholder management skills
- Willingness to obtain FAA Part 107 certification within the first 60 days
Nice to have
- Background in commercial site security or physical security operations
- Experience evaluating AI, robotics, computer vision, or autonomous systems
- Expertise in building operational governance frameworks
- History in program management or operational excellence roles
