You will lead a team of Solutions Engineers focused on Skydio's fastest-growing commercial segment: autonomous site security. Reporting to the Director of Solutions Engineering, you are responsible for hiring, developing, and retaining technical sellers who partner with Account Executives to win deals in sectors like data centers, corrections, and military installations.
Your mandate includes owning the team's quota, establishing repeatable technical sales motions, and building a security technical practice. You will translate field requirements into product inputs while ensuring trials convert into fleet-wide programs. This role demands deep domain knowledge in physical security and the ability to guide enterprise customers through complex technical evaluations.
What you'll do
- Hire, develop, and retain Site Security Solutions Engineers and Specialists
- Own team performance against quota and manage pipeline reviews
- Define engagement strategies for Specialists on complex pursuits
- Partner with sales leadership on forecasting and deal strategy
- Establish repeatable technical sales motions for priority sub-segments
- Build and maintain security technical playbooks and reference architectures
- Translate field requirements into structured product input for AI capabilities
- Ensure trials convert into multi-site and fleet-wide security programs
What you'll need
- Experience as a Solutions Engineer in physical security or video surveillance
- Domain experience in corporate security, GSOC, or law enforcement preferred
- Deep knowledge of VMS, access control, and perimeter intrusion detection
- Understanding of AI and computer vision boundaries in security contexts
- Experience with dock-based or remotely operated UAS deployments
- Comfort with enterprise security reviews and InfoSec questionnaires
- Proven people leadership skills in hiring and performance management
- FAA Part 107 Certificate or ability to obtain within 60 days
- Ability to travel up to 60% for customer engagements and events
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs unaided and pass background screening
Nice to have
- Experience leading specialist or center-of-excellence teams
- Track record in building enablement or certification programs
- Direct experience in data center, corrections, or military security
- Familiarity with counter-UAS and airspace deconfliction
- Working knowledge of Salesforce, Jira, or Databricks
