You will lead a team of systems engineers and a tech lead within Vanta's Corporate Engineering group. The team owns the infrastructure that keeps over 1,500 employees connected, including identity management, device policies, and IT service management.
Your goal is to shift the function from reactive support to a proactive platform. You will set technical direction, automate access workflows, and ensure secure self-service for tools and AI infrastructure across the company.
What you'll do
- Lead and coach a team of systems engineers and a technical lead
- Own end-to-end automation for employee onboarding and offboarding in Okta
- Define and enforce device assurance policies for macOS and Windows
- Rationalize ITSM tools to enable effective self-service for employees
- Govern SaaS procurement to ensure SSO enforcement and access reviews
- Manage identity and connector infrastructure for the company AI stack
- Build visibility layers to track team capacity and prioritize work effectively
- Partner with Security and Finance to create safe self-service guardrails
What you'll need
- 8+ years in IT or systems engineering with 3+ years in management
- Experience scaling teams during significant headcount growth phases
- Proven ability to improve inherited teams through sustained coaching
- Technical depth to evaluate estimates and distinguish risk from progress
- Hands-on experience with AI in enterprise tooling and automation
- Expertise spanning identity, endpoint management, ITSM, or procurement
- Strong influence skills to operate across partner organizations
- Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
Nice to have
- Background in security or compliance frameworks
- Experience with complex migrations or orphaned endpoint programs
- Track record of expanding scope beyond core expertise areas
