Join Cohere’s Multimodal team to develop frontier foundation models designed for enterprise use. You will work on Command A Vision and similar projects, focusing on enhancing model capabilities and driving value for customers through innovative multimodal applications.
The position offers the chance to explore novel ideas in representation learning while leveraging significant compute resources. You will collaborate with researchers and engineers to push the boundaries of what is possible in AI.
What you'll do
- Design and develop multimodal AI systems integrating text, speech, and vision
- Conduct research on advanced compute infrastructure and representation learning
- Explore novel ideas in transfer learning and multimodal tasks
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to share expertise and improve models
What you'll need
- Exceptional software engineering skills with a track record of scalable systems
- Strong command of Python and deep learning frameworks like JAX or PyTorch
- Knowledge of distributed training strategies for large-scale multimodal models
- Familiarity with autoregressive models for image, video, or speech tasks
- Ability to dive into complex ML codebases to resolve issues
Nice to have
- Publications in top-tier venues demonstrating multimodal AI expertise
- Experience writing efficient GPU kernels using CUDA for performance optimization
