As a foundational hire in the new ML/AI direction, you will help establish the team and technical standards from scratch. You will design core models and pipelines for real-time decisioning, directly impacting revenue through improved payment routing.
Working with over 100 million monthly transactions, you will partner with Product, Engineering, and Data Platform teams. Your work involves end-to-end ownership from experimentation and A/B testing to production deployment.
What you'll do
- Design and build core ML models and pipelines for a new function
- Develop a real-time ML decisioning system for payment routing
- Conduct hands-on experimentation from idea to A/B testing and production
- Integrate cutting-edge AI technologies to drive product innovation
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve modeling problems
- Communicate technical results to engineers and business stakeholders
What you'll need
- 4-5+ years of experience in ML or Data Science
- Production experience with classical predictive models like fraud or risk
- Proven track record of shipping ML models with measurable business impact
- Strong fundamentals in data science and feature engineering
- Hands-on experience with A/B testing and experimentation design
- Ability to work with high-cardinality transactional data
- Self-driven mindset capable of owning projects in a greenfield environment
- Excellent communication skills for diverse stakeholder groups
Nice to have
- Experience in fintech, payments, fraud, or risk management
- Background in real-time or low-latency ML serving
- Master's or PhD in a quantitative discipline
