Join Quilter's Placer Team to build AI that solves the complex problem of automated PCB design. You will handle the full lifecycle from research and prototyping to productionizing maintainable systems for geometric deep learning and optimization tasks.
What you'll do
- Own problems from exploratory R&D to production-hardened systems
- Develop GPU-accelerated code using PyTorch and CUDA C++
- Apply RL, graph neural networks, and generative modeling
- Formulate objectives and debug numerical behavior in the stack
- Contribute to technical direction and research strategy
What you'll need
- 5+ years of industry experience in ML or optimization
- Strong fundamentals in machine learning and optimization
- Production-level experience with PyTorch
- Ability to work across research and production codebases
- Comfort operating with high autonomy in ambiguous spaces
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
Nice to have
- 5–7 years of industry experience
- Experience with CUDA C++
- Background in reinforcement learning
- Knowledge of geometric deep learning or GNNs
- Experience with multi-objective or combinatorial optimization
